Our players come from a variety of high schools. This page is used to update you on what they are doing during the off season. | Terrence Chapman is playing for the Southwest Patriots in Macon. He is the leading scorer and lead player on the team. Terrence is a senior and hopes to have an outstanding season this year. His hustle and enthusiasm for the game is unbeatable. Terrence was awarded the trophy for leading scorer at Southwest. 2009-10 Dalvin McCollum is playing for the Southwest Patriots in Macon, Ga. He plays football and basketball. He was recently awarded the Rookie of the Year trophy in football for 2008. He is also the starting point guard this year in basketball. Dalvin ended his basketball season with the trophy for most assists in a season. As of May of 2009, Dalvin is currently playing starting point guard for the Macon Bucks AAU basketball team. Dalvin has become a triple threat on the court. He has an excellent take charge offensive attitude, incredible defensive awareness and vertical jumping ability, and is one of the most unselfish players on the team. This is an upcoming senior for Southwest High School and one to watch. He has an extremely admirable and coachable attitude. The end of the season has come. Nyjel McCollum is playing for the Southwest Patriots in Macon, Ga. He was recently in The Macon Telegraph and News in an article that stated he led the Southwest Patriots in their win against Greene County. He was awarded the trophy for having the most steals on his Southwest Patriot team. He continues to be an outstanding defensive threat during the 2008-09 AAU season. As of May of 2009, Nyjel is a starting 2 guard and point guard for the Macon Bucks AAU basketball team. His powerful ability to drive to the basket and make tough shots makes him an asset to any team. He is currently working to improve his game by thoroughly developing a mid-range jumper. When it comes to free throws, Nyjel has an average of about 90%. Nyjel is an upcoming junior at Southwest High School and one of the most hardest working, coachable young men you will find. He should be on the list to watch. Rutavious King is currently the leading scorer for Howard High School in Macon. He had struggles with his grades, but is now playing guard for the new high school in Macon. He is a pure shooter and has made a great impression on the team. This year the Macon Bucks AAU team is really fortunate to have Rutavious to join the team. He plays point guard and 2 guard for the team; and has great outside shooting ability that helps the team stay competitive. Most teams will try to deny him the ball, because they don't want to see him get hot. Mike Jones is currently playing basketball for Southwest High School. He is currently the back up number 2 guard. He is calm and cool on the floor and should be called the "On Floor Basketball Director." Mike is also one of the top seniors in his graduating class. Mike Jones has just recently signed a scholarship to attend Albany State to run Cross Country. Keith Martin is currently playing guard for Southwest High School. When you are down and need to make up some ground, Keith can help. He is an outstanding three point shooter. KJ was awarded a trophy for his dedication and hard work on the team. He looks forward to a great year! He is staying active until the next season by playing the shooting guard position for the Macon Bucks AAU basketball team. During the off season he is working on driving to the basket and developing his point guard skills. Denerrio was one of the senior players on the Bulls team. He has entered into the adult world of work. Denerrio is currently enlisted in the United States Navy. We will keep him in our thoughts and prayers. We also thank him for his service to our country.
