This showcase was our second tournament.  The team was impressive with their demonstration of working together as one. 

The first game was at 10:00.  We won that game through our ability to make a superb offensive showing, stimulated by our defense.  Our MVP for that game was R. King.  His offensive contribution and team leadership really pushed us ahead.  Our enthusiasm was justified due to this being our first win as a team.

The second game  was at 1:00.  We won that with persistance and hard work.  It was a tough game against the Clippers, but the guys really worked together.  Our MVP of that game was S. Muhammad.  His fluent passes and take charge attitude really kept us motivated and in the game.  Due to our record, and lack of teams that showed, the next game was the championship.

In the championship we played the hosts, Riverdale Soul.  It was a hard fought game, but we came out behind.  Our team made too many crucial turnovers to overcome the rhythm established by The Soul.  We are very proud of our team, and we hope they learned some valuable lessons from that experience.  They need to focus on protecting the ball, denying easy baskets around the goal, talking more on defense, and having total game awareness.  Our MVP for that game was T. Chapman.  His pure energy and hustle was truly appreciated by all of us.  The final score was 48-53.
